Help student parents stay focused on school!  

This Giving Tuesday, the CCS Foundation is raising money to help with childcare costs for Spokane and Spokane Falls Community College student parents. In the last year, we’ve heard regularly from students and staff that not having access to childcare is a barrier to our students’ education. In fact, it’s become one of the most common emergency aid requests.

In normal times, affording childcare is tough. In pandemic times, it can be overwhelming. Help keep parents in school and readying themselves to provide a brighter, bolder future for their families. We don’t want our students to have to choose between taking care of their children and going to school.

Education is transformative. When our students get their degrees, they're showing their kids that hard work and dedication pay off. That’s why we named this year’s Giving Tuesday campaign “Caring for the Future.” With a gift today you won’t just be giving our students the chance to go to school now - you’ll be supporting the next generation of students, too.

Did you know that Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) operates more than 30 Head Start/ECEAP/Early Head Start centers in Spokane County, providing care and support for more than 1,600 children and their families? Their mission is to provide high quality education, health, and social services for the wellbeing of young children and their families. They are dedicated to working with low-income families so they can find support and success in getting their children off to a great beginning.
