Changing Lives, One Gift at a Time
Each year, the Foundation awards more than 400 scholarships. Unfortunately, the need is greater than what we are able to provide: last year, more than 1,400 students applied for those 400 scholarships.
But with your help, we are one step closer to being able to meet those needs. By supporting CCS Foundation scholarships, you help deserving students stay on track and reach their goals.

Here are just some of the reasons your gifts matter:
I was blessed to receive two separate scholarships, and as a working mother, they both meant so much to me. The scholarships allowed me to focus on my education and getting good grades rather than how I was going to financially pay for it all. The scholarships and hard work paid off greatly as I was accepted into the nursing program through the competitive process. It means so much to me that donors chose to invest in my education, and it pushes me to do the best that I can to prove that their investment is worth it.
The Touch the Future Scholarship lightened my financial burden, allowing me to focus more on the most important aspect of school: learning. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community.
Being a part of the Avista Integrated Business Program at SCC has provided me with the quality of a Harvard School of Business education for a fraction of the cost. The best part of the Spokane Community College experience is the hands-on learning opportunities that are offered right in our own back yard. I am confident now to go and be a part of the exciting world of business!
I have been in and out of college for 18 years, overcoming many different obstacles. I lost my son and my dad within two weeks of each other, I’ve been divorced and was a single dad for a long time, so it’s going to feel great to be able to finish and show my kids that despite all the obstacles in life, if you work hard, you can accomplish your goals.
You’re the reason I can come back to school and pursue my dreams, and the reason I’ve gained the confidence to be myself.
A couple of years ago, my wife and I lost our daughter, and six months later, I lost my wife, so it’s been a really hard time. We have a 14-year-old son, and it’s been very hard for him, too, so this helps fortify and reassure me that I can still be an inspiration for him. More than the financial part of it, it gives emotional support and help.
I’m a single mom of three little girls, and I didn’t have the confidence at 18 to try to go into Nursing; I didn’t know I could do it, so I’m so excited about this because I couldn’t do it without you, and I can’t wait for my daughters to watch me do it.
The CCS Foundation has been a huge blessing for my daughter and me. As a single parent, every penny counts, and the Foundation helps us both have a bright future.
I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am for the WRA scholarship; it is the one and only reason I am still in school this quarter. I do not receive state need grants, so if it wasn't for this scholarship, I would have had to drop the program and look for full time work, which would have ended my educational goals and dreams.
