Sasquatch of the Decade Award

Each year Spokane Colleges Foundation honors a recent Spokane or Spokane Falls Community College alum who exemplifies the mission of learning at Spokane Colleges and who is already making notable service contributions to the community.

Spokane Colleges Foundation encourages all members of the community to nominate an individual for the Sasquatch of the Decade Award. The award recipient(s) will be honored at a Foundation event.

Criteria:

In order to be chosen Spokane Colleges Foundation Sasquatch of the Decade, a candidate must have:

  1. Attended SCC or SFCC for one (1) year; and
  2. Graduated SCC or SFCC within the last 10 years; and
  3. Already made notable service contributions locally, nationally or internationally or are actively demonstrating continuing support of Spokane Colleges and the Foundation’s missions.

Procedures:

  1. Individuals may submit only one nomination each year. 
  2. Nominations are open year-round.
  3. The Nominating Committee will select the Sasquatch of the Decade every January.
  4. Spokane Colleges Foundation will present the Sasquatch of the Decade with a commemorative award and a plaque, which will be displayed in the Chancellor’s suite.
