Make an Impact – Start a Scholarship

Thanks to the support of our donors, we awarded over $300,000 in scholarships last year.

With a student body of 30,000 students at Spokane Community College and Spokane Falls Community College, our applicant pool for each school year just keeps growing. Our students' bright futures are just around the corner. With your help, we can support each student so that they can achieve their dreams.

Start a Scholarship Fund

Scholarships can be life-changing, and there’s no better way to help students than by establishing a named scholarship fund. With an annual donation of just $5,000, you can create a scholarship that will be awarded for as long as you continue to make yearly gifts. You can even designate the kind of student you would like to help. (See the list of current Foundation funds.)

Invest in the Future

If you want to create a permanent source of support for students, consider creating an endowed fund named for yourself or in honor of a loved one. In an endowment fund, the principal is invested in perpetuity and a portion of the investment earnings is used to fund annual scholarships. The required minimum investment to establish an endowed scholarship is $25,000 donated as a one-time gift or pledged over multiple years. To establish an endowed fund, contact Christine DeGeare, Scholarship Manager, at 509-434-5128.
