Rhonda Allen is the Center Manager for the Head Start program at the Northeast Community Center.
What CCS Foundation program or scholarship do you support and why?
I have worked at CCS since August 2011. I started out as a Home Visitor in Early Head Start in a project position. The next year I moved into a permanent position as a Family Service Coordinator in Head Start at the Adult Education Center. Since then, I have worked at many of the Head Start Centers as a family Service Coordinator. Recently, this last August, I became the Center Manager for the Head Start Program at the Northeast Community Center.
Why do you choose to donate to the Foundation?
I support the CCS Foundation with an unrestricted donation because I believe there are students that sometimes need a little extra and the Foundation helps with that. I’m a graduate of SFCC and know sometimes students just need a little extra to make it.
Fun Fact: Where would you love to travel to, if you could go anywhere?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go on a Galapagos Island tour. I would love to see the giant tortoises and the swimming iguanas. Plus, snorkeling there would be amazing with all the types of sea life.
Sasquatch Celebrity is a monthly feature that introduces the CCS staff who support the CCS Foundation's students and programs.
