Learn about Jacob's passion for the Foundation below!

Jacob ParksWhat CCS Foundation program or scholarship do you support and why?

I support all of the programs and scholarships at CCS Foundation. All of our programs provide opportunity for motivated individuals to gain new skills and knowledge in route to improving their lives and the broader Spokane community.

Why do you choose to donate to the Foundation?

Every year, Board members are given the opportunity to review applications and help select scholarship winners. I’ve found this process to be rewarding and incredibly motivating for the work I do on the Board. The stories told in those applications of overcoming obstacles to earn an education make me want to donate time and money to ensure that we continue to make potential possible for these students.

Fun Fact: What is one hobby you’ve always wanted to try?

The hobby that I’ve always wanted to try is to learn how to play the saxophone. In elementary school, my penmanship was so bad (at least I can type now) that I was held out of band to practice my handwriting. If I had unlimited time, or perhaps as a retirement activity, I would enroll in our culinary program. I love to cook and would enjoy learning from the folks who have produced many great chefs in the Spokane region.
