Grant Award from the David and Dorothy Pierce Charitable Trust

The CCS Foundation is excited to share that we have been awarded a grant from the David and Dorothy Pierce Charitable Trust!

CampusThe award will support enrollment at both colleges, as well as Head Start and ECEAP centers. These Enrollment Events will be hosted this fall and Outreach and Student Recruitment from both colleges and our Scholarship Manager from the CCS Foundation will also be there to help potential students apply for funding to attend school.

“We have amazing opportunities at CCS, and we know how intimidating it can be to apply and find funding,” Christine DeGeare, Scholarship and Alumni Relations Manager, said. “Thanks to the David and Dorothy Pierce Charitable Trust, we’ll be able to help potential students and parents of potential Head Start and ECEAP students get started.”

The Pierce Charitable Trust sponsored these events last year, where dozens of individuals received lunch and assistantance on applying for school and funding. These events were hosted in partnership with Head Start, ECEAP, and Outreach and Student Recruitment staff. We’re excited to reach even more community members this year.

We are so grateful to the David and Dorothy Pierce Charitable Trust for continuing their years of support for CCS students.

Update, 12/26/23:

So far, our team has hosted two events to reach local families interested in CCS, Foundation scholarships, and Head Start! In the photo below, Christine DeGeare and Sari Shepard are at the West Central Community Center promoting our opportunities while 2nd Harvest ran a mobile food pantry.

"We had the opportunity to promote Head Start, the colleges, and scholarships to a lot of people in our community!" Christine said.

Thank you, David and Dorothy Pierce Charitable Trust!
